New York City
Since I can remember I’ve wanted to live in New York City. I am sure it has something to do with my personality, DNA, character. Something inherent. My first trip to the city was when I was two years old, so of course I can’t remember it. I then went back to the big apple in 2008. That trip I remember. That trip I decided I was going to live in New York City.
I took the first opportunity I had to move to New York City. I often get asked the same question, “how do you like living in New York?”, and every time I say “I love it, but I knew I would.” The funny thing is I am not an actor or an aspiring musician like a lot of new yorkers. While I was typing that, I almost wrote creator. But, I stopped myself, because I think I am one. I think I just realized that.
My soul belongs in New York City because this is where creators thrive. I’ve fought towards every conventional, salary paying job, and it hasn’t worked out like I thought. It’s forced me to do my own thing and rely on my creativity.
Wow. New York City taught me this.
